To program Embedded Unified Messaging:

Enable Embedded UM
Enter IMAP server IP or FQDN
Select server connection type (clear or secured)
Enter server port for Clear or STARTTLS connections
Enter SSL server port for SSL connections

Enable Embedded UM for users
Enter IMAP account name and password.
NOTE:
If the IMAP account is Gmail:
Ensure that less secure app to access your Gmail app is enabled.
If you have enabled 2-Step Verification for your Google account, then enter the App password created for the Gmail account.
If you have disabled 2-Step Verification for your Google account, then enter the Gmail password for your account.
Enable 'Display Held Call ID on Transfer' in the COS of the voice mail ports so that messages forwarded to voice mail include the caller's DN in the e-mail sender field. Otherwise, the message recipient sees 'Unknown caller' as the sender.
System

Configure the"Email - Sender's Address" to be used instead of system-generated address when voice messages are forwarded.
VM
Options form
Select the Email Sender's Address to be used: System Default (configured in the System Options form) or Voicemail Default. (determined by the EMEM system).
NOTE: Messages with the "Voicemail Default" sender's address are often classified as spam and are blocked by most Email servers. Selecting "System Default" allows you to place the address on a firewall allow-list -- preventing Email messages from being treated as spam and ensuring their successful delivery.
